"You gave me an organized approach to Lightroom and also forced me to address some needed organizational issues for my photos. My needs are fairly basic, but you certainly filled in many gaps. I had not done much with local changes and now am enjoying playing with using the brush and making local changes via the neutral density filter on some of my prior landscape photos."

”I had the pleasure and good fortune of attending one of Amy’s workshops at the Grand Canyon back in 2014. As a beginning photographer, I would have believed anything. But Amy is one of those rare educators that listens to your questions, adjusts learning objectives to meet your photographic skill level and teaches you how to obtain these objectives through repetition and lots of encouragement. Amy is the real deal. Her teaching style and student’s learning style are a huge match!! If you don’t understand a particular photo concept you will immediately get some private tutoring until you do. At the end of her workshops, your sense of accomplishment will be staggering. Thanks, Amy!"

"At the end of last year, I began my new journey into the world of photography and was introduced to Amy Horn. I knew right away that she was the educator I needed to guide me in this journey. I began in January by attending one of her workshops in Prescott, AZ on landscape photography and was immediately hooked. Amy is a gifted instructor who reads her students’ needs well. As a student in her workshops, the first thing that you will notice is that she is committed to giving instruction and not being the photographer herself. That constant availability leaves her free to answer whatever question you may have at the exact time you need it answered. Her one on one attention is to be commended no matter what her class size is at the time. She is definitely an instructor who is always there for you, not only during class but also for the follow up questions you might have when class is over. Last year, I not only took a landscape class from her but also studied under her in July for macro photography as well. I share her love of photographing water and quickly learned how to both freeze water droplets or blur flowing waterfalls under her instruction. Her passion for teaching photography is obvious as she truly enjoys watching her students succeed. I went back again in September to San Diego, CA for photos of speed, architecture, and nature. In October, I joined her in Sedona, AZ for the changing of the seasonal colors in Fall. I will continue to take courses from her as I continue to grow in my skill level. She is an excellent teacher! In addition to her excellent teaching style, Amy has also published an extremely helpful book with Bruce Taubert on macro photography. She writes a newsletter that is filled with information, uses social media to share photos and helpful hints for improving images, teaches at Northern Arizona University and for Arizona Highways PhotoScapes. Amy Horn is a truly talented photographer and educator whom I will seek out for future courses as often as I can.” - Lorri O, Orange County

"I became acquainted with Amy through her workshops, private instruction, website, calls, and emails, and quickly learned that she is an exceptional teacher, photographer, and person. She has outstanding technical teaching skills, and the pertinent technical knowledge of her field. When this is coupled with her real world experience, and her burning desire for her students to be successful, my varied learning experiences with her were very successful, satisfying, and enjoyable."
